Keanu Reeves To Star In The Anime Series And Live-Action Adaption Of His Comic Book
Action, violence and combat is expected.
Keanu Reeves’ comic book series BRZRK is to be adapted into an anime series and live-action film by Netflix.
In a tweet Netflix announced that BRZRK, the 12-issue limited series produced by BOOM! Studios, is currently being developed and both a live-action film and a follow-up anime series will be made. Reeves is said to produce and star in the film and voice the protagonist in the anime.
The first volume of the comic BRZRK was released earlier this month and had a warm reception. The first issue has sold over 615,000 copies making it one of the most successful comic book debuts within the past three decades. BRZRK follows the character B, an immortal warrior who has fought wars throughout the ages but now works with the US government to fight battles that are deemed too violent and bloody for anyone else.
There is currently no release date for both the anime and live-action film.
