The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge met with English broadcaster and natural historian, Sir David Attenborough at Kensington Palace. They met after a screening of Attenborough’s documentary film, David Attenborough: A Life on Our Planet. Prince George, Prince Louis, and Princess Charlotte were also in attendance. Attenborough even gave Prince George a large shark tooth fossil. According to Prince William and Kate Middleton’s Instagram the general subject of the meeting was the environmental challenges that the planet faces.

Middleton being fashionable and timely, wore an eco-friendly dress. She attended the meeting wearing a midi length and belted denim dress. The dress designed by Gabriela Hearst is made from up-cycled fabric. The dress is called the “Marley” dress, which is from Hearst’s pre-fall 2020 collection.

Kate Middleton’s dress is just one of Hearst’s eco-friendly Pre-Fall 2020 designs. The Pre-Fall 2020 collection has knits made from recycled cashmere yarn as well as coats and bags made from recycled Turkish kilim remnants.
