Kanye West Is Officially The Richest Black Man In US History
All hail Yeezy.
With a reported net worth of 6.6 billion dollars, Kanye is officially the richest black man in American history, surging ahead of businessman Robert F Smith and basketball icon Michael Jordan.
It’s a speedy turnaround from a man who claimed to be more than 50 million dollars in debt just three years ago.
Most of Kanye’s wealth comes from his apparel and sneaker brand, Yeezy, of which he is the sole owner. Yeezy just signed a multi year deal with Gap, with the Yeezy x Gap line set to drop this summer.
He’s also a big investor, including in Kim Kardashian’s, his soon to be ex-wife, underwear brand Skims.
