It’s Not Goodbye Forever But Ricky’s Has Closed Their Final Retail Store

Known for their style and color was beauty store Ricky’s, after bringing fun and color to lives over a number of years, the New York-based beauty supply store closed its doors permanently on April 8th. Over the last month, the retail location on 830 Broadway in Manhattan has remained over providing supplies during this difficult time however now this store has permanently closed.
The retailer shared an Instagram post on their account @rickys_nyc sharing the store closure however state that it is not goodbye forever as they will work to bring Ricky’s NYC back. This comes one year after Kening, 5% stakeholders at the time held an interview with the NY Post and said, “we tried to stay ahead of the curve and offer things that no one else had when I was there, but the people who are in charge are not evolving the brand.”
The brand grew since its establishment in 1989, expanding to multiple locations, this success, however, has declined significantly since 2012 after a change in majority stakeholders. The retailer will be posting updates on where their future lies on their Instagram.
