Introducing ÀLEA: The Sustainable Streetwear Label You Don’t Want To Miss

Blending geometrical motives, digital stroke and a sustainable soul.

POSTED BY TENAI PALOMINO

After debuting at Paris Fashion Week 2020 and showcasing the use of recycled and eco-compatible materials, unisex label ÀLEA is set to storm the fashion industry.

Founded by Stefano Pugliese, Vincenzo Lattanzio, and Tatiana Orlova, the Italian label offers a unique product, utilizing a serigraph printing method and applying it on a curated selection of fabrics. Uniting decò motives, the modernism of the 60s, and the Movimento Arte Concreta through a distortive digital lens, the project is manufactured entirely out of sustainable materials.  *cries happy tears*

The brand is dedicated to dressing those who “are able to cross modernity lucidly, without conforming to univocal trends, without overexposing themselves, therefore choosing the path of essentiality and authenticity as a background of personal expression.” ÀLEA recently took part in the Vogue Yoox Challenge – The Future of Responsible Fashion in which they proposed to launch 100% Polyacrylic knitting products, as currently, the very few products in the fashion industry made from Polyacrylic are lower than 70% recycled.  ÀLEA also pledged to launch accessories made from 100% Polyurethane, which has never been done before. As a result, these products will not only be 100% recycled but also 100% recyclable.

As well as breathing new life into waste and “giving it a second life and a second opportunity for use,” ÀLEA also contributes to local production. Entirely produced in Italy, a major part of the brand’s garments are manufactured in the south, where ÀLEA originates, supporting local suppliers and production facilities. What’s not to love?
