Instagram Wants To Mess Up Your Perfect Grid Layout

Instagram are currently testing out a new four-across layout with selected users – an alarming sign for anyone who has spent time carefully curating their snaps into perfect coordinated rows. There's no word on why the social media platform is considering a change but it makes sense that the more images we can scroll through at a time, the more money there is to be made. Sorry, Insta, but according to a cornucopia of mental health studies, we've already been buckled quite enough under the strain of your neatly packaged information overload.

It's not clear whether or not this test feature will make it through, but we're hoping that for the sanity of many influencers and Instagram artists that the layout stays just as it is – three is the magic number, after all.
