Stands out from the crowd.

When we meet people, we want to make a good first impression. One of the first things we seem to notice about each other is our smiles, so you want to make sure yours is up to scratch and stands out from the crowd. We have gathered some top tips to get you feeling confident with your smile.

Get A Check-Up

The first thing you should do is go to your dentist and get a check up. Having good hygiene is the key to having a great smile. Sort out all those pains and aches before it ends up hurting and costing you more in the long run. If your teeth are crooked or uneven or missing, talk to your dentist about potential solutions such as braces, veneers or dental implants, Click Here to see what a dentist can offer you.

Pearly Whites Make Your Smile Shine

Once you have had your check-up and your teeth are healthy and looking straight, think about investing in some teeth whitening kits to really make your smile shine. There are many home kits you could try, but ensure you do your research before whitening as some products could make your teeth sensitive. For a safer option, talk to your dentist about what services they can offer to whiten your teeth.

Draw Attention To Your Smile With Your Lips

With winter months here, our lips tend to get a little dry, which can lead to sore, cracked lips. To remove dry, dead skin, invest in a lip scrub, this will make your lips look smooth in no time. If your lips are sore, be sure to use some lip balm or vaseline on them. Once they are back to normal, spruce them up with some lip liner and lipstick. Add bright reds to draw attention or a nude colour for a more subtle look.

Be More Confident

Easier said than done, we know but working on your confidence will make your smile more natural. Take time out of your day to write down things that you are proud of, doing this will give you a boost in your confidence, leading you to smile more. Ditch the negative people that are bringing you down and surround yourself with positive people, this will make you more positive and get you smiling more.

Practice Smiling And Laughing

You might think that practicing smiling is an odd thing to do, but smiling or laughing releases endorphins, which in turn releases tension and makes you happier. Take some time out of your day to watch a comedy or some videos of people laughing. When we see other people smiling or laughing, we tend to ‘catch the bug’ and smile and when we smile we release stress and our once stressful day becomes a little easier.

We hope these tips have helped to get you smiling more and in turn, get your smile noticed. For tips on how to be more confident, check out How Positive Affirmations Can Change Your Life.
