How To Celebrate New Years At Home

You’ll still need that extra sparkly dress after all.

The COVID-19 pandemic has put a stop to lots of great things in 2020, now it’s New Years turn. But, fear not, we’re here to show you how you can still have a spectacular New Years at home – bring on 2021, am I right?!

Although pubs, clubs and bars are still closed or under many restrictions, why not make your own cocktail selection at home? All you need is a cocktail shaker set, your favorite spirits and extra liquors or soft drinks depending on your chosen cocktails - then, just wait for the clock to strike 12!

Or, if cocktails aren’t quite your scene, you could whip up a delicious meal that you love – you can’t go wrong with that. You could even create an extra three course meal to enjoy with your family, or if you’re still feeling those Christmas blues, why not order your last takeaway of 2020.

Zoom has been an important part of many lives during the pandemic so it would be silly not to take advantage of that for the last day of 2020. You could set up a call with friends or family so you can begin the new year with those you really love.

Since you missed out on celebrating Halloween, why not dress in costumes during your Zoom call? It’s one way to add some excitement to your virtual gathering. You can even select the best getup and give the winner a small prize for fun.

2020 saw the official release of Disney Plus, giving us all our childhood dreams put into one place. New Years Eve is a great opportunity to have a movie night, grab some popcorn, chocolate snacks, fizzy pop and you’re all set. Enjoy the film!

Finally, if you miss nightlife and a classic night out on the town, you can bring it home - grab your best sparkly dress, heels, red lippy and have a dance party. Add some disco lights and a speaker to give it that extra party vibe and dance the night away until your feet can go no more.

Happy New Year from Fizzy Mag.
