Succession Season 3 Release Date Announced
And it's sooner than you might think
HBO has announced that drama series ‘Succession’ will return to television in October of this year after several delays due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The nine episode season will debut at 9pm ET/PT on October 17th on HBO and will also be made available on HBO Max.
The network teased the release of the new season with an intriguing tagline:
"Ambushed by his rebellious son Kendall at the end of Season two, Logan Roy begins Season three in a perilous position, scrambling to secure familial, political, and financial alliances. Tensions rise as a bitter corporate battle threatens to turn into a family civil war."

It’s been reported that the full cast are set to return, including everyone’s favorite feuding family, as played by Brian Cox, Sarah Snook, Kieran Culkin, Alan Ruck and Jeremy Strong. Additional newcomers to the cast include Alexander Skarsgard, Adrien Brody, Hope Davis, Dasha Nekrasova, Sanaa Lathan, Linda Emond and Jihae playing undisclosed roles.
Created by Jesse Armstrong and produced by Will Ferrell and Adam McKay, Succession follows the progeny of sickly Logan Roy as they vie for his attention, and one day, the keys to his vast media empire. Drawing parallels with Shakespearean epics King Lear and Hamlet, as well as borrowing real life inspo from real-life media dynasties.
So rejoice as another season of lies and betrayal, crimes and misdemeanors as well as good-old fashioned sibling rivalry graces our screens in October.
