Guilt-Free Breaks To Help You Study Better
Help, I'm feeling overwhelmed.
And just like that, you’re halfway through the first semester. It is so easy to feel overwhelmed at the moment with everything in daily life constantly changing. As the workload continues to pile, it’s important to know how to take a break without feeling guilty.
If you’re feeling run down and stressed out, here are a few ways to help you feel better.
Have a snack
Well, there is no point studying if you’re just looking at the words and nothing is going in. Try having a small healthy snack to keep you going. By taking your mind off studying, even for 5 minutes, you're able to reflect and reset. Sometimes you just have to pause studying to be able to continue effectively and that's okay.
Say hello to the fresh air
It might be getting colder, but nothing feels better than going out for a short walk to rest your mind. It doesn't have to be far, it can be to the end of your street or even garden. Being outside can allow you to feel at one with nature, which has been proven to reduce stress. If you’re really feeling it, go for a run to get those endorphins pumping around you.
Make your bed
This can sometimes feel like the hardest thing to do. But we all know how nice it feels once you’ve plumped up your pillows and pulled your duvet straight. You can also do things like tidy your desk, wash the dishes or plan your week. By getting on the productivity train with these things, doing uni work seems less daunting.
As always, don't forget to drink plenty of water.
