Google Maps Highlights Restaurant Deliveries
The new update allows users to support their local neighborhood restaurants.
Google Maps have introduced a new feature that allows users to support local restaurants that are offering delivery services at this time, especially as the global pandemic has prevented many from entering restaurants and services.
As countries are going into lockdown, and social distancing measures have prevented many from using restaurant services, some companies like UberEats have allowed free delivery services to aid those who are unable to pick up their own takeaways.
Google Maps users are now able to see a highlighted list of restaurants with delivery and takeout services. To use the feature, Android and iOS users can tap the screen once to bring up the list of nearby, available eateries. Users can even order food straight from the app from businesses integrated.
The update is currently available in the US, Canada and France, with the possibility of other countries following soon.
