Go Beyond with Natasha Zinko

And her 2025 Ready-to-Wear Resort collection.

POSTED BY EMMA FISHER

Natasha Zinko’s FW24 collection saw the designer create 35 outfits appropriate for the retrofuturism of 2001: A Space Odyssey with pastel-clad stewardesses and Star Trek, where sleek uniform is expected.

The sci-fi theme continues. For her Ready-to-Wear Resort 2025 collection, Zinko encapsulates the postmodern sci-fi cynicism from Blade Runner and Alien. This collection embraces the anxious dystopianism that perhaps is apt for the times we live in.

A darker color palette of deep blues, white, black and beige will strike you. They also contrast the bright colors of the FW24 range to depict the change in mood. Silhouettes take inspiration from extreme opposites with garments using straps and sleeves that will remind you of straight jackets.

Elsewhere, looks left the body exposed with short mini skirts and cutouts. 35 looks from the brand’s FW24 collection were reinterpreted as spacesuit-inspired pieces. A standout piece includes a strapped-up trench coat that has a frayed look thanks to the added industrial hardware.

Take inspiration from a voluminous jacket that uses asymmetry and duller material to present the anxiousness felt within the overall narrative of the collection.

As you can imagine, denim is heavily featured throughout. The denim garments appeared worn-in as yellow fading, rips and frayed edges gave the looks a rich backstory.

Overall, Natasha Zinko delivered an interesting collection. If you want to stand out, this is your range.
