Get Ready For The New Converse X JW Anderson Run Star Hike

After getting us excited in September '18 at the London Fashion Week, Converse finally brings the Jonathan Anderson Run Star Hike to the stores. The merge between classic Chuck Taylor upper silhouette and runner sole is a nuanced declaration on contemporary mashup culture. The Run Star presents an intriguing stack height. The scale was also added with the addition of a sawtooth tread, effectively forming a three-part shoe (upper, midsole, outsole) wherein each portion can be read easily from distance.

Subtle details, including hand-drawn typographical marks, relay the shared history of Converse and JW Anderson. On the white version, where the typical Canvas is replaced by linen the date “1917” appears beside the patch, noting the debut of the All-Star. In contrast, an upcoming Glitter version shoe reads "2017," marking the initial release of the Converse x JW Anderson Chuck 70 Glitter. Each is moments that extended and pushed the boundaries of the Converse brand at-large.

The Converse Run Star Hike White will drop globally on February 18 and will be available online. The Run Star Glitter will follow April 18.
