Get Jet-Settin’ With Moncler x RIMOWA’s Sleek Suitcase
The limited-edition case releases this summer.
The unlikely pairing of Moncler x RIMOWA has blessed us with a super sleek, super shiny travel suitcase. Debuting at Milan Fashion Week, the aluminum case titled “Reflection” is complemented by matte black handles, a Moncler badge situated at the front and, perhaps the most striking element, a customizable LED strip, allowing the user to display any message they want. Sweet.
The case, based on RIMOWA’s Original Cabin model, exhibits a riveted exterior and includes a silver packaging cube on the inside, crafted out of Moncler’s iconic padded nylon fabric and allowing for A+ organization. CEO of RIMOWA, Alexandre Arnault, expressed his excitement over the project and the integration of the two brands, “It’s been an exciting opportunity to exchange creative approaches and explore novel ways of integrating technology into modern travel.”
The case is included as a part of Moncler’s Genius collection alongside some of fashion’s most prominent figures such as Simone Rocha, ALYX 9SM’s Matthew Williams, and JW Anderson.
Available in limited quantities, the case will be available in global Moncler and RIMOWA stores and on rimowa.com from June 2020 $2,271 USD.
