Gay Couple Provide Free Rainbow Facemasks On The Streets Of Poland

Fighting coronavirus & anti-LGBTQ attitudes one mask at a time.

Taking a step in the battle against homophobia and Coronavirus, couple Jakub Kwiecinski and Dawid Mycek have been sewing and distributing rainbow masks on the streets of Poland, for free for those in need.

Only last week, the Polish government voted to continue considering a law that links homosexuality with pedophilia, in attempts to ban sex education. Pride parades turned violent last year, and many cities throughout Poland have declared themselves ‘LGBT free zones’.

However, the couple has demonstrated their refusal to be silenced by right-wing oppression in the country, and are using this time to spread a message about equality and equal rights for all.

These alternative facemasks, provided through a rainbow cloth and a borrowed sewing machine, have resulted in 300 masks being distributed in the streets around the city Gdansk. The couple and their dressmaker friends will continue to make and distribute more for free to strangers.

Their Youtube video continues to spread positivity and love, something we all need, especially today.
