GANT Launches Pioneers Of Change Campaign During Pride Month
GANT's pride campaign features picturesque shots of LGBTIA+ activists.
American Swedish clothing brand GANT has revealed its Pioneers of Change campaign amid Pride month. The struggles of individuals who are part of the LGBTIA+ community are the heart of the campaign featuring Charlie Wedin, Denzel Rhodes, Gigi Spelsberg, Kai Isaiah, Jamal and Steve Sjöquist.
The five protagonists who are LGBTIA+ activists between the ages 19 to 65, share a glimpse of their own experiences in terms of their sexual orientation, gender identity and expression.
‘We the mail you didn’t get to send but somehow arrives anyway,’ one of the opening lines read by Kai Isaiah says. With its sensitive, carefully crafted and poem-like lines, the video invites the viewer to interpret their own meaning into what is being said. With its composition of arresting shots displaying the protagonists, the video is reminiscent of an art installation.
To support and empower lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer youth, GANT donates $ 30,000 to non-profit organization the ‘It gets better project’ this year.
