For Every Overdressed Girlfriend, There's An Underdressed Boyfriend
Celebrity couple style: Hailey and Justin Bieber.
Past and present, fashion has always adored a celebrity power couple. From Sonny and Cher, The Beckhams to Rihanna, A$ap Rocky and The Biebers. For some couples, the art of dressing in tandem can be seen as a form of expressing their love or unity in a trendy way. For others it can be unintentional and it simply just works.
Both Hailey and Justin Bieber are no strangers to fashion. Mrs Bieber is the face of Saint Laurent and has the #1 most searched style globally on Google, with 446,788 monthly searches. Mr Bieber’s fashion evolution from the stage to the streets each year has stapled him as a style icon. The duo may have mastered the art of couple style and casual dressing, combining her model off duty looks with his laid back, skater boy fits. However, it's also become a recurring image to see The Biebers dressing in complete contrast to one another.
Enter the overdressed girlfriend, underdressed boyfriend trope. Tiktok couldn’t help but point out that when it comes to the pair, you can never tell what they’re attending nor the weather from their mismatched looks. Mainly because Hailey will be dressed up in comparison to Justin being dressed down. Whilst she prefers her LBD, heels and sophisticated coats, he tends to opt for oversized hoodies, baggy jeans and quirky accessories regardless of the event. Whether it be date night or award ceremonies.
