Fjällräven and Specialized Come Together For New Outdoor Collection

Swedish Fjällräven and California based Specialized have teamed up in a new outdoor collection called ‘The Great Nearby.’ The collaboration will include functional and stylish pieces, relevant to either brands ethos, meant for biking and hiking. The drop will include backpacks, hard shell bike gear, jackets, bucket hats, and much more.

Specialized is an American bike manufacturer known for its high quality, long lasting equipment. Fjällräven is a Swedish brand specializing in outdoor clothing and equipment– most notably the ‘Kanken’ bag. Fjällräven and Specialized share an interest in creating sustainable, environmentally friendly products. 

In regards to the new drop, Henrik Andersson, the Global Creative Director at Fjällräven said, “We realized that our values around nature and health were the same…” Both brands hope to inspire adventure, reconnection with nature, and both physical and mental health. 

The first two drops from the collection were in March–the next drop is set for May 18. The third drop is set to have “saddle-to-table apparel” along with “durable and versatile bike bags.”
