Glitter Down With Rina Sawayama’s Tunnel Vision Video By Avida BystrÖM

POSTED BY BECKY WILLOUGHBY

Online, but not feeling fine, London Singer / Songwriter, Rina Sawayama describes her latest track ‘Tunnel Vision’ as a: “pastel R&B glitter struggle.” A song about the crappy cacophony state of mind, that comes as a result of being totally addicted to feed.

Directed by Avida Bystrom, the video features Rina on the ‘scroll’ in bed (familiar, no?), on the edge of exhaustion. Avida’s signature pastels (as an artist and photographer) take on a sinister style, with Rina getting progressively more distressed, rolling around and fidgeting on her devices, as the background flashes sickly purple and blue hues, with glitter raining down, with more stranglehold, than sparkle.

Part song, part super short spot on rant, about about the struggle to stay sane ‘IRL’, by trying to resist the pressure to be always “on”: “there’s certainly something we’ve messed up, but it’s late to share.”
