Rihanna has made all our dreams come true during lockdown! Speaking with British Vogue the singer/beauty babe confirmed that Fenty will include a new skincare range sooner than we think.
Rumors had been circulating back in 2019 when a trademark filing for Fenty Skin came to light, it included items such as body care and skincare with extras such as tools and kits, although no official launch date has been set, discussions have started.
Speaking about the line and process behind launching skincare, Rihanna said that “it either works or it doesn’t...”, skincare is very unapologetic, it’s important for these products to actually perform for your audience.
Her brand Fenty Beauty has been a hit ever since it’s launch, with its a huge list of shades suitable for pretty much every skin color imaginable, it began a new era of beauty for all and started a trend that the rest of the beauty world tried to swiftly follow.
Rihanna says that the response to Fenty Beauty was unexpected, saying that people who ask her about her thought process behind creating ‘makeup for black girls’ shocks her, “...I’m like, ‘What? You thought this was like a marketing strategy? Like I’m a genius?’ It’s shocking most of the time. Then it turns into disappointment that this is groundbreaking right now. In my mind, this was just normal.”
