Elon Musk And Grimes Edit X Æ A-12

The teeny-tiny alteration to their son’s name has already broken the internet.

Earlier this month, Elon Musk and Grimes broke the internet when announcing the birth and name of their seventh child together.

Social media users have been bombarding the tech entrepreneur and musician for an explanation on the pronunciation and reason behind this truly unique name, whilst the couple have had to battle the slight issue of California state law not actually accepting the name based on a technicality.

For those of you who are hoping they may have settled for a more conventional name, you may be disappointed yet awed to know that, as confirmed in an Instagram comment by Grimes, the name has been edited to X Æ A-Xii.

California law couldn’t accept the name due to the use of numbers, as only characters of the English alphabet are allowed, hence, the ‘12’ at the end has been changed to Roman numerals.

Musk announced on the Joe Rogan Experience podcast that the pronunciation is: ‘X Ash A-12’.
