Ellesse’s Spring/Summer 21 Collection Serves Tennis Vibes

Ellesse’s new Spring/Summer 21 collection is set to serve tennis vibes all around. The new collection entitled ‘2021 the year of comfort – no day without my tracksuits’, features classic Italian style which combines both sport and street style. Reminiscent of 80s tracksuits, the collection plays with cheerful colors, merging both performance-wear and street style into one. The collection emphasises tailor-made sport silhouettes, and is divided into three sub-categories: Court Couture, Court Lines and Court Races.

Court Couture combines tailor-made silhouettes with unexpected yet well-considered color placements, and filigree design features. Classic pieces like leggings and bodysuits in the womenswear collection accentuate the body shape, whilst jackets inspired by blazers add a sporty lifestyle twist that will be sure to be seen on bloggers. The menswear collection features impressive tracksuit designs that combine graphic applications and highlighted outlines that are reminiscent of chalk markings known in the art of tailoring.

Court Lines is inspired by the aesthetics of the lines and colors of both the tennis court and street which focus on stripes, color-blocking and shaping cuts. At the heart of this collection is its inspiration from Tennis, with side lines from the tennis court reinterpreted in the menswear collection in the form of piping and unexpected geometric placements on sweatshirts and jackets. In the womenswear collection, cargo pants and cropped T-shirts are a reminder of the bold energy of the big city.

Court Races is all about performance styles that are inspired by the excitement and energy of sport and stand out with dynamic lines and flowing shapes. The designs feature graphic color applications, subtle branding and performance call-outs with technical meshes and reflective accents. Light jackets, tracksuits and long-sleeved cropped designs offer smooth cover-ups for the transition from the training ground to the street. With innovation at their centre, these styles are wearable, yet made for the court.
