Effective Social Media Marketing Tips For Fashion Brands

Hard work always pays off in the end.

POSTED BY ANNA GRAHAM

Honestly, fashion brands probably have it the easiest on social media because many platforms are built for draping various outfits over different people. The biggest problem for fashion brands is the sheer weight of competition out there, and yet, it is still not as competitive as the mortgage market or the e-book market, so there is plenty of room for a savvy brand to make a real impact. Oddly, most of the effective social media marketing tips relate to hard work and having lots of money, but that is where things stack in your favor because hard work always pays off in the end.

Hire The Cheapest Influencers

Grab some of your most important staff and have this tattooed on their foreheads. Think of every small-time influencer who sends a message to a game company to ask for a free game to review (not even to be sponsored, they just want the game so they can review it), and who is completely ignored. There are models out there, old and young, fat and thin, who would sell their curtains for the chance to help you make your mark.

Even the most beautiful models are simply ignored by fashion brands because they don't have enough followers, but it honestly doesn't matter. With your encouragement, and free stuff, and some marketing money (you pay to market their content), these models can pop up viral at any point. Don’t think about the influencer’s follower numbers. Look for people who are obviously very good looking, who fit with your style of clothing, and who post frequently without getting that much attention.

Give these people free stuff and tell them that you will share their content on your accounts if they try on and review your stuff. Honestly, it seems like you are throwing money at nobodies, but for every 30 nobodies you give stuff to, at least one of them is going to make an impact now or in the future, and they will be quite happy to answer your messages later down the line if you are good to them when they are starting out.

Buy Another Person’s Fame

There are thousands of young and old people who start their social media accounts, grow them, and then get bored or frustrated. They expected to be earning Adin Ross money by this point (75 mil per year), and they are only earning $3.09 per month from their adverts. They are looking to sell, and they have followers just waiting to be marketing to. Get into a website like Fame Swap, buy up from cheap accounts with a few thousand followers, and market your goods to them. In several cases, it may be more effective than trying to pay your way to the top.

Pay the Darn Platforms

In other words, pay your way to the top. If all else fails, start putting small amounts of money per week into each social media’s marketing services. With Facebook you can “Boost” posts, with TikTok you can “Promote” posts and so forth. Yes, it is not as effective as various other social media methods, but over the long term it puts you in good standing with the social media companies. They notice that you are propping up your numbers with their marketing services and they want to encourage you to keep doing it. As a result, they will unlock a few doors to your success and start making it a little easier to gain followers and attention.

Also, before you listen to people who claim that people who pay “Don’t” get special attention, ask yourself this, “If you were a social media network, would you make it easy for businesses to gain a big following?” If you made it easy, how would you sell marketing and advertising services to them? It kinda sucks having to pay to promote your content via the social media networks themselves, but if you invest small amounts at a time over a fairly long period, you build up a fairly good foundation system of popularity with the network. They gain good information/data on how your content performs, which allows them to better position your content for future gains. Over the long term, you will find it works in your favor.
