Eagles: Keeping The Rock‘n’Roll Spirit Souring High

About the Iconic Rock Band.

POSTED BY GUEST WRITER

Considered one of the most successful rock bands of the 1970s, the Eagles are a voice to reckon with. The American rock band popularly known for their hit song Hotel California, have sold over 200 million copies of their albums worldwide. The gifted rock band also made it to the list of the highest-grossing concert tours of the 1990s.

Road to stardom

Formed in Los Angeles back in 1971, the Eagles have topped Billboard Charts with five number-one singles. Over the years, they have showcased their musical prowess, allowing them to take home six Grammys, among other awards. Visit this site to learn more about Eagles awards and nominations.

With Glenn Frey, Don Henly, Bernie Leadon, and Randy Meisner as their founding members, the rock band has crept into the hearts of rock lovers from around the world, still being one of their most favorite rock bands.

Due to irreconcilable differences between band members, and much to the disappointment of fans, the Eagles broke up in 1980. Before then, their musical career was soaring high, and they seemed unstoppable. However, since their fans were not ready to let them go, a couple of country musicians including, Travis Tritt, Diamond Rio, and Trisha Yearwood came together in 1993 and recorded an album as a tribute to the Eagles. The album featured some of the Eagles greatest hits including, Best of My Love, Peaceful Easy Feeling, and Heartache Tonight.

For the love of Eagles’ music, Travis Tritt did a cover for the rock band’s debut album. The former band’s manager Irving Azoff, who was the one behind putting out this all-star Eagles tribute album, saw potential in Tritt’s tribute and asked him to do a video of Take It Easy. Tritt, on the other hand, said that he would only do the video if the Eagles appeared in the video. That was the first time the talented rock stars were seen together after their breakup.

The reunion triggered something in their hearts, and after the fourteen-year-long hiatus, the band members came together and released their second live album, Hell Freezes Over. The album went on to be number one in the Billboard album charts and sold over 9 million copies in America alone.

Later on, in 2007, they released their last studio album Long Road Out Of Eden, which is one of their most celebrated work.
