Dua Lipa's rise to the top has been just about as “subtle” as the poofy pink gown she rocked to London's 2018 BRIT Awards. Last night, the pop star took home two awards for Best British Female and British Breakthrough Act as well as fittingly performing “New Rules” surrounded by an army of empowered women. In her acceptance speech, she said, “every single female that has been on this stage before me that has given girls like me – not just girls in the music industry but girls in society – a place to be inspired by, to look up to, and that have allowed us to dream this big. Thank you so, so much. Here's to more women on these stages, more women winning awards and more women taking over the world.”
