Dr Martens x BAPE Team Up To Recreate The Iconic 1460 Boot
Celebrating both brands' milestones!
Dr. Martens has teamed up with BAPE for the fourth time, celebrating the beloved 1460 boot’s 60th anniversary. This capsule collection reworks the classic silhouette by injecting it with true BAPE DNA.
The most obvious iconic BAPE motif is the camo across most of the leather upper. The boot also includes the BAPESTA logo, which cuts across the midsection and a yellow BAPE head featured on an additional heel-loop that serves as the finishing touch of the reworked boot.
BAPE stated that the main source of inspiration came from their BAPESTA sneaker as 2020 marks its 20th anniversary. So, we’re getting a special anniversary baby with these recreated 1460’s, celebrating both brands' milestones. Uhh yes, we love!
The latest BAPE collaboration is only one of many more to come. It kicks off the Dr. Martens new 1460 Remastered project. Over the course of 2020, 12 designers and labels will rework the 1460 silhouette including their own aesthetic to the boot.
