Dime Starts Off 2023 With Two New Sneakers
Combining forces with Merrell to change the Moab 2's.
Monreal skatewear brand Dime has recently made waves with multiple shoe collabs under their belt. This time they chose Moab 2 as their building ground.
The shoe itself maintains its usual materials and silhouette. Technical overlays contrast the mesh base in suede with Dime signing two original colorways: a version in purple called Blue Ribbon and a cleaner alternative in white Birch. The skate brand's branding appears through a "Dime" hit on the side and another on the yellow heel tabs, with Merrell's lettering on the Vibram soles.
Moab 2 features various elements designed to bring more comfort to its user while not missing being practical and durable shoes. So, to start with, it has a waterproof membrane sealing water while letting its moisture escape. It also has Kinetic Fit ADVANCED on, a removable contoured footbed with reinforced heel cushioning for better support, and Merrell Air Cushion on its heel so that it won't feel the impact while walking on rocks and makes it have more balance. Finally, it tops it with an Eva foam midsole.
The outsole comes with Vibram TC5+, making the shoe lifespan longer and more fitting for outdoor adventures.
Both shoes will be available through traditional channels, physical stores at Dime, and online on January 14 and worldwide on the Merrell website in limited quantities and at select retailers on January 18 with a set price of 170 Canadian dollars.
