Desigual drops a new collection by fashion designer Monsieur Christian Lacroix. A creative that reinvents fashion every season, he decided to pick up some of his favorite motives with a twist for the Spring/Summer 2023 collection.
Combining floral prints, non-negotiable for Spring, psychedelic patterns, a Desigual signature, as well as abstract, lively, colorful motifs that have been reworked into new cuts and silhouettes like crop tops and pant sets, flared skater dresses, semi-sheer blouses, and even cargo pants. The collaboration with Monsieur Christian Lacroix is an opportunity to reinvent classic silhouettes and reimagine concepts to establish a new part of the brand called #NewDesigual.
The campaign, shot by photographer Txema Yeste brings out the collection's highlights like an unexpected pattern, consisting of a pink backdrop with red and bright green motifs. The print adorns an unusual cut sleeveless midi dress made of poplin, featuring dramatic ruffles which match the accessories perfectly. A variation of the same print is to be found on another look, which consists of a playful top and jacket. In the words of Monsieur Christian Lacroix, “The combination of pink and red inevitably makes one think of good weather, ice cream, or fruit sorbets, as they have a touch of freshness and acid."
