Meet The Cpxart French Streetwear Brand Bringing Art To Life

We at Fizzy Mag are always on the look-out for new fashion and new faces. So we sat down exclusively with the brand-new and upcoming label CPxArt and had a chit chat about art, life and fashion. Well, mostly fashion tbh.

CPxArt is a young French fashion brand with the passion for art and fashion. Focusing to put art and fashion together and let the creativity rule over every single piece. CPxArt was founded recently in Paris. Tell us a little more about who you are and the story behind the label! 

We are two friends which have passion for fashion. As a Footballer and Model i travel a lot and catch many inspirations from different parts in the world. So a big influence was the Paris vibes, the streets, edginess. So my friend and I decided to call CPxArt into live, a mix of streets and class. We are trying to tell a story with the collection.
Our main focus is to put Art and Fashion together.



What does “CP” in “CPxArt” stand for? 

Lot of people already asked us but it will be revealed in our third collection.

And what’s your motto?
Our Motto is “God is Art ” and “Art is Life”. 
Imagine just for minute, a world without art. Art is the power to give life to everything. Art gives us the way to be creative and express ourselves. For some people art is the entire reason they get out of bed in the morning. If we look around everything has been designed by someone. The whole world is art from mountains to the trees. Nobody can really describe art because it shows us different parts of itself. Art is indescribable. The creator behind all this things is God. 



The fashion pieces are very street wear based with a special touch of edginess. What is the inspiration behind your very first collection?
Yes that’s true. We don’t think that street has ever really changed. It comes from punk and grunge, it comes from a place of not having, so it has come from a place of pure creativity. Kids wearing jeans, cutting them to give it their own feel or vibe. The purest form of originality comes from a place of not having, and that’s the streets. On the other hand Art influence our first collection very. We are fans of street art and also artists like Michelangelo, Picasso, Davinci, Michael Jackson. So why not let these elements be part of our first collection?



Why did you choose a bomber jacket as significant piece for your collection?

The Bomber is very special. You can wear it edgy or smart. You have different ways to combine it. Bomber was something which gives streetwear a special taste.



Besides the really dope bomber jackets you’ve got a shoe collaboration with Swedish designer Carl Antonio. Tell us more about it!
Carl Antonio is young Swedish fashion brand with a passion for high quality footwear and they excel in terms of comfort. We met in Paris and decided to work together on some boots. The Stockholm x Art boots are already out. The Stockholm boots are made from Calf suede leather with leather soles. They are already in boutiques in Los Angeles and in Stockholm. A new boots is on the way for this year. And you can really combine them with our Bomber.



Will there be more product like shirts, pants etc. available later this year or will you be focusing on outerwear? 

To be honest we just focusing on some pieces. We want to keep it in a small circle so we will focus on outerwear first. 



Where do you see yourself in 2016?

Trying to do the best of what we have. Sure we all dream of big things but we need to put work in it. So that’s the plan for 2016 the rest will come by itself.
