Converse Have Just Released Their Annual Pride Collection

Converse has created a collection to mark the annual Pride celebrations since 2015, and this year is no different. 2019’s offering was released yesterday and features designs inspired by the infamous Stonewall Riots, a key moment in LGBTQ+ history. Available in both high and low-top version, the range is unapologetically bold, its designs including lightning bolts and the shoes themselves encrusted in glitter. 

Each design in the range has been created to represent a different aspect of Pride, with enough designs available to kit out you and all of your pals. The Chuck 70 High model shows off a lighting bolt design inspired by the Pride/trans flag, whilst the Chuck Low includes a full rainbow upper and bedazzled tongue. The Chuck Taylor is no more subtle, with a rainbow design reminiscent of the Pride flag displayed proudly across the shoe’s exterior. Each sneaker is finished with Pride flag lace tips and the dates “1969-2019” inscribed on the back of the tongue, acting as a reminder of the seismic events of the Stonewall Riots 50 years ago. 

But the shoes aren’t all, the range is completed with a selection of Pride-inspired garments and accessories, allowing you to celebrate Pride from head to toe. Prices range from $25 to $100 so there’s something to suit every bank account. Check out the entire range online.
