COMME Des GARÇONS PLAY X Converse Are Back With Another Rework
The Jack Purcell is back.
COMME Des GARÇONS PLAY X Converse is a collab we are all familiar with by now, with the duo having released some iconic sneakers over the years. However, the classic converse ‘Jack Purcell’ shoe was originally designed for badminton and is known for its rubber toe cap and cushioned sole. The duo hasn’t reworked this iconic design in 10 years, but brand-new designs are on their way.
The pair have teamed up once again to release two new designs, both featuring largely neutral color palettes of grays and whites throughout, with the difference being in the accents of the shoe. The first pair features black accents in the form of oversized heart logos, with the other featuring the same in red. Both shoes feature “Egret” shoelaces and iconic rubber toe caps.
The shoes will retail for $140 USD and will be available to shop globally online on DSM and Converse’s websites as well as in COMME Des GARÇONS and Dover Street Market’s stores.
