London based designer Charles Jeffery has launched his highly anticipated LOVERBOY FW21 collection “Gloom” this week. The newest collection features abstract shapes and patterns mixed with a 70s punk aesthetic, perfect for breaking the rules and making a statement.

A video was also released alongside the collection, showcasing the looks alongside clocks and a static TV creating a very abstract and strange theme. Quick cut scenes give brief glimpses of models and the garments, allowing the bright colored prints to do the talking. Models are posed with bright makeup and spikey hairstyles to build the chaotic vibes.

Stripes, tartans and hand painted prints are featured alongside disruptive cuts to create a high fashion take on punk. A key look from the collection is a double breasted jacket with large stitching on the arm seams giving a larger than life feel to a tailored jacket. This stitching is also seen on the accompanying leggings and both pieces feature red, blue and yellow hues.

Jeffery presents a daring and avant-garde collection, playing with experimental techniques yet still keeping it high fashion and artistic. We can’t wait to see what he does next.
