Kilian Kerner's 20th Anniversary: Berlin Fashion Week 2024

Two decades ago, Kilian Kerner launched his same-name high fashion brand. At Berlin Fashion Week 2024, we find ourselves amid the 20th anniversary celebrations. On day three as part of BFW, Kerner debuted his new SS25 collection at the Uber Eats Music Hall, appropriately titled: "We Celebrate 20 Years of Kilian Kerner".

Beside sparking viewer emotion, the beautiful show also moved its designer to tears as Kerner came out for his seasonal bow. The show kicked off with a moving interview excerpt in which Kerner discussed how he overcame the obstacles of trying to gain a firm grip on the industry.  

The strong emotions expressed in his SS25 collection were deeply artistic told the designer’s story, and conveyed deep feelings. By skillfully combining materials, shades, and shapes to achieve a range of textile effects, Kerner proved that he has mastered his craft.  With a color palette that extended from very subtle shades of blue and purple to passionate reds. There were sparkling details and over-the-top embellishments that added some real sparkle to the garments creating a spectacular display of glimmering lights.

Making the models appear as if they were made entirely of stardust and sheer magic. Kerner remained true to his avant-gardism while also ensuring wearability. This SS25 collection was the embodiment of his original flair. A final look showcasing a huge red heart accompanied by a long veil concluded the show and perfectly encapsulated the collection.

The models lined up forming an aisle through which Kerner walked his well-deserved stroll through a confetti shower at the end. By the time he reached the end, he was teary-eyed, flooded with emotion and gratitude, marking a touching end to Kilian Kerner's 20th anniversary celebrations.
