Cardi B Takes On The Louvre With Her First Balenciaga Campaign
She didn’t call herself Balenciaga Mama for nothing.
If releasing perhaps the track and music video of the year wasn’t quite enough for Cardi B – then scoring her very own, debut luxury fashion campaign must come pretttty close.
The rap sensation took to Instagram earlier this week to announce that she is now the face of Balenciaga’s AW 2020 campaign, where she shared the iconic photo of herself lay amongst an assortment of bright coloured kid’s toys (presumably her baby Kulture’s) and the French label’s new Neo Classic bag to her 74.7 million followers.
Featuring Cardi in an ultimate sleek, head-to-toe Balenciaga look - the campaign can currently be seen on the side of the Louvre Museum in Paris (no biggy) - of which the star of the moment shared her excitement about the huge and well-deserved moment:
“Ya lookin at the face of a Balenciaga campaign! I remember how I felt seeing myself on a billboard in NYC Times Square but PARIS! Wish I was there to see it in person!”
Although only her first campaign for a luxury fashion house, Cardi is by all means so stranger to the fashion scene.
