Boygenius Gives Surprise Concert at Texas Airport
Because why not?
All the world’s a stage to indie girl group Boygenius. Band members Phoebe Bridgers, Lucy Dacus, and Julien Baker gave a surprise performance at baggage claim at an airport in Austin to kick off the SXSW Music Festival. The trio’s Austin Airport performance saw them performing their singles off the upcoming the record album along with previous hits from their past EP. the record releases March 31st.
Fans were shocked when they saw Bridgers and company set up with instruments outside baggage claim. Bridgers ended the show by wishing fans to “have a safe flight!”

The set was short but sweet, giving fans a taste of what's-to-come when Boygenius hopefully tours the record. Turning a mundane trip to the airport into an indie rock show is very much on brand for the oddball trio.
The band’s second project has four singles out now, with the latest “Not Strong Enough” debuted at another surprise performance in New York earlier this month. Boygenius is set to perform at the annual Coachella Music Festival, headlined by Bad Bunny, BLACKPINK, and Frank Ocean on weekends April 14- 16th and April 21-23rd.
We hope to be so lucky for our next trip to the airport.
