Billie Eilish Is Back And “Happier Than Ever”
The singer says, “things are comingggg,” and we can't wait.
Billie Eilish’s debut album answered “When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?” and ever since, the 19-year-old superstar has been breaking records and winning awards. Now after two years of waiting, we’re ready to hear her new music and all about how she’s “Happier Than Ever.”
On March 17th, Billie posted a video and photo on Instagram debuting shorter, pretty platinum blonde hair with curtain bangs-- a far cry from her signature long, black and green hair. Seems like Eilish is ushering in an entirely new era. And by the looks of it, she’s graduating from the macabre twistedness of her debut album-- maybe abandoning tarantulas crawling out of her mouth to lyrics about death for something a little less underworld and a little more ascending.
On Tuesday, Billie posted a promo photo on Instagram announcing that her new album will be available on July 30th and saying “this is my favorite thing i’ve ever created and i am so excited and nervous and EAGER for you to hear it. i can’t even tell you. i’ve never felt so much love for a project than i do for this one. hope you feel what i feel. [sic]” In the photo, she’s wearing white while looking glow-y and gorgeous.
On top of how excited we are for (16!!!) new Billie Eilish songs, we love the possibility that beyond being crazily multi-talented and record-breaking, she’s versatile, and her career may give us many shades of Billie, many twists and turns, and many favorite songs.
