The Wait Is Over: Beyonce Finally Drops ‘Lemonade’
If you haven’t heard by now, Beyoncé dropped a bomb on all of us this past Saturday, literally! The star debuted her much anticipated album “Lemonade” referring to the popular phrase ‘If life hands you lemons, make lemonade’ and has everyone talking. The hour long visual album is jam packed with eyebrow rising lyrics that have had everyone wondering if she is confessing that her husband Jay-Z cheated on her judging from the contentious lyrics. Fans are already speculating that designer Rachael Roy might be the side chick she keeps referring to and have wasted no time in attacking the designer on social media.
The album encompasses strong artistic poetry based on the raw and unfiltered emotions (different from her glamorized and ‘all so perfect’ look) and instead, showcasing struggles of the African-American woman, her own personal struggles and a political message of ‘Black lives matters’ as already seen in her first release ‘Formation’. Nevertheless, the album is filled with party jams hits that will be ‘hot’ this summer. The 20 Grammy Award holder definitely keeps rising to the occasion and leaving no doubt why she is the Queen Bee.
