Berlin Based Inan Takes New York

For their Winter Capsule Collection, the Berlin-based brand INAN decided to explore their roots in NY culture with their FW lookbook. Can somebody send us to NY to explore the culture there, too? Pretty please! But enough of our selfish thoughts…

Inan is a name deriving from the Anatolian word for “faith”, is a young Berlin-based brand founded in 2013 by Inan Batman. Inan grew up watching his grandmother sew garments from scratch late-night at her apartment. Carrying on this heritage of craftsmanship, he eventually decided to create his own brand, building upon the values he inherited from his family. Drawing from his extensive travels as a musician, Inan combines various cultural concepts and design aspects in his brand, reflecting another infinite source of inspiration – the brand’s diverse birthplace of Berlin–a city that always becomes but never is.

The capsule collection features gray and light pink as new colorways and a play on their classic line prints, the brand ventures a little further into a more progressive direction while staying true to their counter culture mindset. The lookbook shows upcoming talents Salomon and singer Quirra Tores wearing a variety of basic items, such as hoodies, longsleeves and shorts with the brand’s staple “Double N” print in various locations throughout ever bustling Manhattan.
