A Smelltastik Night with BDK Parfums
Parisian perfume meets Berlin’s creative scene.
Some events are all about being seen. Others give you something to actually experience. At BDK Parfums’ Collection Studio Masterclass and Party in Berlin, we got a little bit of both.
On October 15, Studio 1111 on Potsdamer Straße became a meeting point for the worlds of art, fashion and fragrance. The crowd was dressed for the occasion, the atmosphere had that effortless Berlin-meets-Paris energy, and perfume was very much the main character of the evening.
At the entrance, two stylish hosts checked the guest list before handing us black wristbands that gave us access to complimentary drinks throughout the night. It was an invitation-only event, but once inside, the focus shifted to what everyone had come to discover: BDK Parfums and its new Collection Studio.

When Perfume Meets Fashion
Founded in Paris by David Benedek, BDK Parfums approaches fragrance as more than a finishing touch. The brand draws on the city's atmosphere, creative culture and sense of style, building scents around stories, memories and places.
Benedek's background in fashion studies also brings an interesting perspective to perfumery. Fabrics, textures and silhouettes can all inspire a fragrance, creating a connection between what we wear and what we smell. Just as an outfit can feel structured, soft or dramatic, a perfume can create its own atmosphere without being visible.
A Fragrance for Every Imagination
During the masterclass, we tried the different perfumes while Benedek explained the inspiration behind each creation. Hearing the stories behind the scents made the experience more personal, turning each fragrance into a small exploration of ideas, textures and moods. It was a reminder that perfume can tell a story just as much as an outfit can.

Parisian Soul, Berlin Energy
Back in the studio, the evening continued with drinks, conversations and a stylish crowd bringing their own take on Berlin fashion. The mix of Parisian perfumery, art and the city's creative energy made the event feel more like a cultural gathering than a traditional fragrance launch.
By the end of the night, Collection Studio had offered more than a chance to try new perfumes. It gave us a glimpse into the creative thinking behind them — and a fresh appreciation for just how much inspiration can fit inside a bottle.
