Utilizing refined, quality fabrics and skilled craftsmanship, the collection contrasts the original BAPE style, using darker palettes of black and originally gold. The debut launch in 2015 had a much more sophisticated aesthetic than the original street vibe BAPE presents, preciously decked out in shining SWAROVSKI crystals. The collection was first modeled by Hip Hop/R&B star Travis Scott, which caused huge conversation amongst streetwear fans and said ‘Hypebeasts’. Since it’s debut, the collection has also been endorsed by chart-topper Chris Brown, who featured in their second look book.

The fourth collection, of which the first part launched on September 28th, is an ode to urban luxury, replacing the gold accents with a cool silver metallic to highlight its most prominent details. The BAPE Black collection features a variety of garments from shirts, jeans and jackets, alongside a line of silver jewelry to compliment the pieces. Each stamped with the APE HEAD motif, money clips, rings, necklaces and bracelets are available at Dover Street Market Ginza, Japan.
