Audrey Nuna Releases Music Video For Space

Audrey Nuna releases her latest single Space, a melodic ballad accompanied by hypnotic vocals.

Nuna has become somewhat of a rising star in R&B, releasing her first single 80deg back in 2018, the singer has experimented with the genres of soul and hip-hop. She has caught the eye of several prominent figures, collaborating frequently with 88Rising and featuring on the latest H1IGHR album with Jay Park and pH-1.

Her latest single Space follows on from her 2020 single Damn Right that gained over 5 million plays on Spotify. The contrast between the two is glaring. Damn Right is lo-fi trap showing off Nuna’s competent flow, whilst Space explores the singer’s angelic vocals over a smooth R&B beat. 

Space feels like a new era for Nuna, a venture into a sophisticated sound. Earlier releases such as Comic Sans, portray the fun-side of Nuna’s lyrics. Yet Space creates an aura of sensibility that is emotionally appealing.

The music video accompanying Space emphasises the softness of the track. A blue hue is felt throughout the video. The ambiguous video sees Nuna exploring a mansion. Directed by Loris Russier, there is a sense of intimacy despite the calls for space from the singer’s lyrics.
