Alexander McQueen Shows Classic Elegance For SS21
The gender hybrid collection that exudes sophistication.
Alexander McQueen has released the latest pre-Spring/Summer 2021 collection which contains hybrid garments for both genders. Winter is still lurking, and while the shorts aren’t ready to come out just yet, the brand has us covered with styles perfect for the transition. We’re spellbound by the simple sophistication of all the pieces, which were designed by creative director Sarah Burton at her own home.
More and more designers are creating collections that can be worn by both genders and these pieces work flawlessly on everyone. From textured trench coats to structured suits, the house style is known for its impeccable tailoring and these garments show us why. Suits will always be a fashion statement because they are timeless and they stand out particularly in this collection. Lockdown won’t stop us looking classy, even if we have swapped the office for a kitchen table.
Alexander McQueen continues to amaze us with innovative and intricate techniques that shine through in this release. Typical British garments have been deconstructed like the wool jacquard sweater, influenced by the cricketer vest. Classic colors make the pieces suitable for anytime wear with beiges, grey tartan and monochromatic magic. Amongst this are pop of colors in red hues.
