Air Jordan 1 Mid “Brushstroke”

An artistic take on the hooper sneakers.

POSTED BY MEGAN MATTHEWS

Wanna be known for your dunks and your paint strokes? Well look no further than the new colorway for the Air Jordan 1 Mid – “Brushstroke”. The paint splattered sneakers feature white and beige uppers with black accents and multicolored paint droplets that decorate all but the white parts of the shoe.

The sneaker was made for artists with swag like celebrity artist and photographer, Amber Asaly, or how I would imagine Van Gogh embodied in today’s hooper-baller society. The swoosh is transformed into a paint brush swipe and even the textures of the sneakers are on theme. The canvas material is an artist’s creative slate and the incorporation of that with the Jordan’s suede is an abstract combination of textures. The contrast primary red stitching also asserts the creativity behind the neutral, though artistic, colorway.

There is the classic Jumpman Jordan branding on the tongues and that of the black Wings on the sides. A Sail midsole and black rubber outsole paints the Jordan “Brushstroke” picture perfect.

Priced at $130, the Air Jordan 1 Mid SE “Brushstroke” is set for release on 17th August on the Nike website and in other select retailers.
