Adidas Futurecraft Mfg: We Got Our Hands On The New 3 D Printed Running Shoe

POSTED BY AL BROWNE

Adidas have finally uncovered their highly anticipated Futurecraft line. The “M.F.G” (an acronym for Made In Germany) has arrived and any expectations have been blown out of the water as the specs go to show. Where to begin? Maybe that with the aid of a computerized foot scan you get a 3-D lattice constructed inner sole taking customized cushioning to another level. There’s the Boost outsole, complemented with the upper shoe showing off a Primeknit exterior aided by Aramis foot-mapping tech. And to make the M.F.G the most stabile it can be, Adidas have integrated a Torsion bar fully exposed under the sole for the best of exercise experiences. But support doesn’t stop there; Adidas have found a solution to replace the tried and trusted cage area around the heel counter by instead enclosing it with a series of patches that make sense both physically and aesthetically.

There are no empty promises involved in the actual production either, seeing the Futurecraft M.F.G. born out of the the SPEEDFACTORY in Ansbach, Germany, where the manufacture process is entirely robotic. 500 pairs have been put into highly selected circulation but Adidas are keeping the crowd on their toes by holding back on an official release date.
