A Red Lip That Lasts

A red lip can be a stunning addition to a look, some even consider it an accessory to an outfit, but it comes with some problems. It doesn't tend to stick around for long and you can see it wearing away in an ugly way. But with a little more effort and a few more steps your red lip can last all day.

Step one

Line your lips. This should be the first step of any bold lip look, it creates a hard barrier and a guide for the rest of the steps.

Step two

Lipstick. This is your first layer of lipstick, you may want to do this with a brush for a more even application. Even application is vital for this since you are going to have so many layers.

Step three

Blot. Like we mentioned before you need to take all the steps to keep your lipstick even, but this also pushes pigment more into your lips.

Step four

Powder. Translucent powder is vital, without it your red lip will only last a few hours. Powder is your best friend in any bold lip.

Step five

Repeat. Add a second layer of lipstick, blot, and powder. This keeps your lipstick bold and cements it to your face. At the end of the day, you should have a hard time washing off your lipstick.
