Gucci’s SS20 Campaign Is All About Breaking Bounds
Giddy-up, y'all!
Constantly pushing boundaries, the Italian luxury house Gucci just released its Spring/Summer campaign featuring a selection of horses and co-protagonist.
The creative director Alessandro Michele along with the photographer and director Yorgos Lanthimos debut a series of images showcasing a retro take of the brand’s new collection. Inspired by the power of trios, the campaign was shot at various different locations in Los Angeles - the beaches, airplanes, parking lots, swimming pool and the Chateau Marmont hotel.
The essence of horses in the campaign is to show freedom, which is one of the core beliefs of the brand. Stating that freedom is “all about the power of fashion to break the cage of rules with the self-determination of personal style.”
Wearing button up pants, buckled footwear, and collared jackets and bags incorporated with the brand’s signature logo the campaign aims to bring a sense of ‘wildness’ to it.
