There’s still unrest in the US and now all over the UK, France, Australia, and New Zealand following the killing of George Floyd in Minneapolis last week. Thousands of people have taken to the streets to demand justice not only for Floyd but also for the many black victims of police brutality. 

For fashion fans that want to take a stand against racism and support the black community, but are unable to make it to the frontlines – shopping from black-owned brands is a great way to show solidarity.

Congolese designer and Hanifa founder, Anifa Mvuemba, broke the internet when she debuted her latest collection Pink Label Congo with the use of innovative 3D models on Instagram Live. Founded in 2012, the self-taught designer describes Hanifa as “alluring, abstract and inclusive.” The Maryland native consistently showcases feminine, vibrant, and structured designs that are made for women of all sizes.
