Gatlin has released not one, but two captivating tracks, marking an exciting day for music fans. She introduces her original single "Too Much Woman" alongside a captivating cover of Hoobastank's iconic 2003 hit "The Reason," one of her most emotional and introspective songs. This release promises to be an emotionally charged and introspective journey.

With boldness and vulnerability, Gatlin's original single "Too Much Woman" explores the complexities of modern relationships. The track opens with a powerful blend of cymbals and fuzzed-out guitars, setting the stage for Gatlin's fearless exploration of uneven partnerships. With lyrics like "I’m not your mother, I’m your lover, and you need better friends," Gatlin fearlessly confronts the challenges of contemporary romance. As the song progresses, Gatlin's celestial vocals soar, reminiscent of music legend Stevie Nicks, creating a captivating sonic experience.

Reflecting on the inspiration behind "Too Much Woman," Gatlin shares, "'Too Much Woman' was written from a place of apathy towards a relationship I was in. It explores the duality of women, showcasing strength and anger throughout most of the song before concluding with a light, gentle, and beautiful final chorus."

In her cover of Hoobastank's "The Reason," Gatlin offers a haunting reinterpretation of the beloved track. Trading gritty guitars for haunting background vocals and muted acoustics, Gatlin immerses listeners in a world of yearning and introspection. Drawing from her own childhood experiences, Gatlin infuses the song with a sense of nostalgia and emotional depth, creating a version that is uniquely her own.

Speaking about her connection to "The Reason," Gatlin shares, "I used to sing Hoobastank’s 'The Reason' in my bedroom as a kid, pretending my life was a movie and fake crying with all the melodrama this eight-year-old could muster. The emotions of my childhood self served as the inspiration to make my own dramatic indie version."

The release of "Too Much Woman" and "The Reason" follows Gatlin's successful Fall 2023 headlining North American tour and her acclaimed EP "I Sleep Fine Now." With each release, Gatlin continues to captivate audiences with her profound lyricism and emotionally charged performances. Drawing from her own experiences and influences ranging from Stevie Nicks to Taylor Swift, Gatlin crafts music that resonates deeply with listeners.

As Gatlin herself puts it, "Whatever emotion you’re feeling? Feel it deeply. Don’t numb it out." With her fearless approach to storytelling and raw vulnerability, Gatlin invites listeners to join her on a journey of self-discovery and emotional exploration.
