Just when we thought Demna Gvasalia's 2016 lighter-heel sock boots were crazy enough, Vetements' genius designer has just launched possibly the most tongue-in-cheek shoe yet: the highlighter-heel leather ankle boot. Not too dissimilar to the original, the soon-to-be-sought-after shoe has got definite fall vibes. Apart from the warmer leather update, it features a mud-effect base reminiscent of the gunk you pick up from walking through rotting leaves, and that wildly juxtaposing neon-blue heel which would fit right in to the uni classroom – and probably do very well to fuck with your fresher friends' minds.
Gvasalia has a real talent for creating stuff we never knew we wanted – I mean, did you ever expect you would be posting Instagram selfies in a fucking DHL uniform, carrying a posh IKEA FRAKTA bag, or literally wearing your nose candy in a necklace? We don't know why but after laying eyes on these booties, we suddenly have a pang of nostalgia for the trusty ol' Stabilo Boss.
