Next Level Munchies Game: Sneaker Sushi! 🍣👟
Go ahead and put your foot in your mouth.
Sneakers have seriously stepped up their presence over the past couple of years— take a look at your Instagram, and your timeline is likely flooded with fashion’s cool kids steadily showing off their new kicks. At Fizzy Mag, we’re not immune to this hype— we regularly fall head over heels (pun intended) in love with a new pair of sneaks, but we never thought we’d see a shoe that looked good enough to eat. Until now.
New on the menu: shoe-shi. Milan-based chef and food artist Yujia Hu takes popular sneaks and streetwear and transforms the pop culture into edible creations.
By day, Hu slings traditional sushi at Sakana Sushi, a Japanese restaurant in Milan, but at night, the young chef transforms his love of fashion and culture into surprisingly delectable creations. Using just sashimi, rice and seaweed, Hu has recreated everything from classic Adidas trainers to the Supreme Cash Canon.
Take a look at some of Hu's creations below, and follow him on Instagram. Seriously, why did Mom ever tell us to stop playing with our food?
